Vintage Multi-Strand Gold Necklace

Vintage Multi-Strand Gold Necklace

Really unique five (5) strand rolo chain necklace in 10k yellow gold likely from the 1960s or 70s. The necklace consists of five (5) rolo style chains of graduated length, 16 inches being the shortest and 18 inches being the longest. All the chains are attached to a central jump ring at each end of the unique vintage slide clasp. A little interesting piece of history about this piece is the vintage slide clasp. It is stamped PAT 3350733 which is a United States patent filed in 1965 by a San Diego inventor named W.W. Hester, which suggests the necklace was likely manufactured after 1965 in the United States. We love the versatility of this necklace, it looks great dressed up or down.

Likely 1960s or 1970s, post 1965.

The shortest chain is 16 inches, the longest chain is 18th inches. The rolo chain is approximately 1.6 mm wide.

The chain weighs 10.4 grams.

10k yellow gold.

Generally good vintage condition with light wear including some tarnish and a small amount of solder visible on one of the jump rings.
